Sjisjka wind farm wins award

Sweden Green Building Awards, which rewards sustainable building in Sweden, has given the award for innovation and collaboration on sustainable development of engineering projects (completed project) to Sjisjka wind farm – Jämtkraft, OX2 and Skanska.

Sjisjka wind farm in Gällivare Municipality was inaugurated in autumn 2012 and today the 30 wind turbines produce green renewable electricity sufficient for 43,000 households. Through a unique collaboration, OX2, Skanska and Jämtkraft succeeded to build one of the largest land-based parks in Sweden in an inaccessible place, with an extremely short construction season and harsh climate.
