OX2 and Renewable Power Capital to construct 66 MW of wind in Finland

Construction of the third wind farm included in the previously announced deal between OX2 and Renewable Power Capital (RPC) is now to start. The project is located in South Ostrobothnia, Finland and is expected to be completed in 2022.

The Merkkikallio wind farm has been developed by OX2 since 2013 and is the 15th wind farm OX2 has started construction of in Finland. It consists of 12 wind turbines with a total capacity of 66 MW. Construction works is set to begin immediately and is planned to be completed in 2022. The wind farm is the third out of three wind farms to be constructed by OX2 and RPC following an agreement signed end of last year. Construction works of the first two wind farms has been ongoing since December 2020.

OX2 is constructing the three wind farms under a tailored EPC contract and will, once commissioned, be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farms.
