Merkkikallio / Märkenkall

The Merkkikallio wind farm is located in areas of Mustasaari municipality and city of Vaasa, Finland. 

The wind farm consists of 15 wind turbines with a total capacity of 82.5 MW. The maximum height of the turbines is 240 meters. The estimated annual production of the wind farm is 270 GWh which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of about 56,000 households (5,000 kWh/household). 

The construction of the Merkkikallio wind farm started in 2021 and the wind farm was completed for commercial use in early 2023. The wind farm was handed over to its owner Renewable Power Capital (RPC) in February 2023.

OX2 is responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farm.
