A large-scale addition of electricity to Dalarna

OX2 is investigating the possibility of establishing a wind farm with a maximum of 27 wind turbines with a maximum height of 295 meters in the municipality of Smedjebacken. The area is located approximately 10 km northeast of Smedjebacken. The wind farm is estimated to provide an annual production of approx. 750-850 GWh/year, which corresponds to household electricity for approx. 170,000 homes per year or the equivalent of approx. 18 percent of the entire Dalarna's electricity needs in 2022. The goal is for Trollugnsberget to contribute to the electricity system by 2030.
