Kronovall

A welcome contribution to the electricity supply of south Sweden

OX2 plans to build a solar park between Eljaröd and Fågeltofta in Tomelilla Municipality, Skåne County. The plans are at such an early stage that it has not yet been decided how the park will be designed or exactly where it will be located. 

OX2 assesses that the area has good conditions for a solar park that could produce approximately 80 GWh of electricity each year. The electricity would be a welcome addition in an area with a large electricity deficit. Today, Skåne's degree of self-sufficiency is only 15 percent. The goal is to increase it to 50 percent by 2030, according to Skåne's Energy Commission. To cope with this, expansion of all available energy types is required. Kronovall's solar park can also contribute to the local business life and the development of the area.
