Strategic acquisitions driving OX2 Sweden forward

Looking at Sweden's long-term outlook, more renewables are key to boosting economic competitiveness and meeting climate targets. While political discussions continue, we remain focused on strengthening our role as a long-term player in the renewable energy sector.
This summer, we took significant steps toward expanding our portfolio in Sweden. We made two major acquisitions that will further strengthen our position in key regions of the country and put us in the right position when the market changes.
Fageråsen and Duvhällen wind project acquisitions
In July, we acquired the Fageråsen wind project in Dalarna from Eolus and Dala Vind. This project, with up to 34 turbines and an estimated annual production of 700 GWh, will provide about 14% of the region’s annual electricity usage. Our goal is to have the wind farm fully operational by early 2028.
In another strategic move, we acquired a 60% stake in the Duvhällen wind project near Eskilstuna from Cloudberry Clean Energy. This project is fully permitted and expected to generate around 150 GWh annually, with operations starting by 2028.
"These projects are a clear example of how we’re putting our strategy into action. By combining our deep expertise in project delivery and commercial know-how they underscore OX2’s commitment to advancing renewable energy projects in Sweden. By adding key assets in strategic regions, we are well-positioned to meet the country’s increasing electricity demands and continue our role as a reliable, long-term partner in the energy transition, says Emelie Zakrisson, Country Manager OX2 Sweden.
