About the project

Access to fossil-free energy is crucial for achieving set climate goals, transitioning industries and transport, and attracting new investments and business establishments. Wind power is the fastest and most cost-effective way to expand electricity production and keep electricity prices down. With the Fageråsen wind farm, electricity price area 3 in Sweden will receive a welcome addition of new renewable electricity.

Wind Farm Fageråsen is planned in the municipality of Malung-Sälen in Dalarna, 13 km southwest of Malung. The wind farm will consist of 34 turbines with an annual production of 700 GWh. The project is being developed in two phases. Construction of phase one, which includes 27 turbines, is now underway. For phase two, consultations with the County Administrative Board are in progress regarding the final layout. The wind farm is expected to be fully operational in the spring of 2028. More information about the project can be found on our Swedish webpage.
