About the project

The Huittinen solar power project is located in the municipality of Huittinen in Satakunta region, Finland. The planned capacity of the project is 475 MW. Once completed, the annual energy production of the solar farm is estimated to be approximately 475 GWh, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of almost 95,000 households (5,000 KWh per household).

What's next?

OX2 acquired the project rights to the solar farm from Finnish solar power developer SAJM Holding in April 2023. The environmental impact assessment and permit processes for the project are currently underway and the aim is to complete them during 2023. The final size of the solar farm will be specified during the permitting and planning processes.

The goal is that the investment decision for the project will be made in 2024. OX2 is responsible for the technical planning, construction and financing of the project.
