About the project
OX2 AB is developing a large-scale, ground-based solar park in the vicinity of Moholm in Töreboda municipality, Västra Götaland county, in collaboration with concerned landowners. The project covers approximately 190 hectares of land and when fully developed will be able to produce approximately 174 GWh of electricity per year from renewable solar energy. Töreboda municipality's total electricity consumption in 2021 was 174 GWh, which means that the completed facility will make a large and important contribution to the energy transition. The project is estimated to be ready for operation in 2027, provided that permission has been obtained. OX2 AB intends to apply for a voluntary environmental permit for the planned solar energy plant.

This includes transparent communication, creating local jobs, business sector development or financial grants through community funds or property tax, depending on the market and conditions in the area.
The expansion of renewable energy should not come at the expense of nature and it is not enough for us to mitigate climate change. We have long worked to minimize our negative impact on nature and are now taking decisive action towards our goal of nature-positive wind and solar farms by 2030.
