About the project
When we produce renewable energy from solar and wind, availability naturally varies over time. Battery storage makes it possible to capture electricity when production is high and use it when demand peaks. This helps stabilize the grid, reduces the risk of power outages, and contributes to more consistent electricity prices.
At Näsbyholm, we are planning to establish a battery storage facility with a capacity of at least 20 MW. The facility will help balance the electricity grid and strengthen energy security. The building permit process is now underway.
