OX2 has signed an agreement to sell an AgriPV project of 23 MW, located in the Loiret region, France. The buyer is CVE, a French independent producer of renewable energy. The sale is OX2’s first in France and will be recorded in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The project is OX2’s first in AgriPV, where solar panels (photovoltaics) are combined with agriculture, farming, or livestock. This project has been developed by OX2 and will consist of fixed tilt solar panels over a flock of 300 sheep. The estimated annual energy production of the solar farm is about 29 GWh, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of 6,000 households. Construction will be carried out by CVE and commissioning is planned for the first quarter of 2026.

- We are happy to announce our first sale in France and are grateful for the constructive cooperation with local stakeholders that made this project possible. This project will make a valuable contribution to meeting the growing demand for carbon-free electricity production in France. The sale process has proven that there is a lot of interest among investors for this kind of renewable energy projects, says Paul Stormoen, CEO, OX2.
