OX2’s first project as an independent power producer begins operation
The 100 MW Rutki Solar Farm in Poland has started delivering electricity to the grid, marking OX2’s debut as an Independent Power Producer (IPP).
The milestone marks a new chapter for OX2 in the strategic commitment to developing, owning and operating renewable energy assets. The Rutki solar farm is expected to generate about 108 GWh of electricity per year. The project that spans over 78 hectares and benefits from a 15-year Contract for Difference (CfD) secured through the Polish Energy Regulatory Office.
“Poland is one of OX2’s key markets globally, and the Rutki project is our first step as an IPP. We are proud to be delivering this project in a country with such immense renewable potential. For years, OX2 has been a committed driver of Europe’s energy transition and now, in Poland, we are reinforcing our long-term commitment to energy security and climate neutrality,” says Paul Stormoen, CEO, OX2.
