About the project
OX2 is developing the Dinner Hill Wind Farm, featuring a 1.2 GW wind farm, located within the Hill River and Badgingarra localities, 26 kilometres north of Dandaragan and 25 kilometres east of Jurien Bay, in Dandaragan Shire, Western Australia.
The Project is proposed to connect to WA's electricity network via the 330kv Neerabup to Eneabba transmission line, which traverses the site, via a terminal station proposed to be located within the project area.
The Dinner Hill Wind Farm will likely include an ancillary Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to support the wind farm and discharge energy when it is needed most. The size of the BESS will be confirmed once further technical assessments are undertaken.
We are currently in the early stages of the Project’s development and anticipate starting construction in 2029, and operations in 2032.
The Dinner Hill Wind Farm Project area is co-located with OX2's proposed Harvest Battery Energy Storage System project area.
Project Benefits
The Project is expected to deliver affordable, clean, and reliable electricity for Western Ausralia while offering economic, social, and environmental benefits, including:
- Powering approximately 763,000 WA homes with clean energy
- Reducing, on average, 3-4 million tonnes of CO2 annually
- Creating procurement and employment opportunities during construction and operations
- A community benefit program which will be developed in consultation with the community
- Enabling greater integration of renewable energy into the grid to help reduce market volatility
- Supporting WA's renewable energy and net zero targets
Community Engagement
OX2 is committed to collaborating with the local community, Dandaragan Shire Council and Traditional Custodians to understand community views and aspirations and to design a community benefit program that drives positive economic and social value. Community engagement activities will begin in late 2025.

Sustainability
Sustainability
OX2 and our suppliers are guests in the local communities. For us, is extremely important to create dialogue with and show respect for the people who live and work in the local area. This includes transparent communication, creating local jobs, business sector development or financial grants through community funds or property tax, depending on the market and conditions in the area.
The expansion of renewable energy should not come at the expense of nature and it is not enough for us to mitigate climate change. We have worked to minimize our negative impact on nature and are now taking decisive action towards our goal of nature-positive wind and solar farms by 2030.
Our projects are sustainable by design, from early planning to construction and management.
