Saukkovaara-Mäkiaho

The Saukkovaara-Mäkiaho wind farm is located at the border of Posio and Kuusamo, Finland.

The wind farm consists of 7 wind turbines with a maximum height of 200 meters. The total capacity of the wind farm is 24 MW. Four of the wind turbines are located in Kuusamo and three in Posio. The estimated annual production of the wind farm is 80 GWh which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of about 16,000 households (5,000 kWh/household).

The construction of the wind farm was completed in 2016. OX2 has been responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farm since autumn 2018.
